The South Korean giant might have taken its sweet time to warm up to the idea of a notch design, but the handset manufacturer is unlikely to extend that to its premium smartphone segment. Samsung is believed to be working on a new Galaxy A series handset, which could be dubbed as Galaxy A90. There is a leak popped-up online stating a unique feature Galaxy A90 might introduce. Let’s talk about that below.
Samsung Galaxy A90: A pop-up selfie camera?
There is a rumour tweeted by a notorious leakster, Ice Universe stating that Samsung Galaxy A90 would be the company’s first ever pop-up selfie camera-enabled handset. There will be no notch or cut-out for a selfie. Samsung Galaxy A8s has already been rocking a punch-hole display in China and the company is likely to introduce a similarly display design with probably a bigger cutout for dual-camera setup on its Galaxy S10 lineup on February 20.
Unfortunately, there is not much information shared by the leakster regarding the design and specifications. But it is believed that Samsung Galaxy A90 would be among one of the nine devices coming in the Galaxy A series this year. There is a previous report that states some specifications of the device. Let’s talk about that below.
Samsung Galaxy A90 might be powered by a Snapdragon 710 SoC and could be accompanied by a 6GB or 8GB of RAM. The internal storage is believed to be at 128GB. There could be a 6.41-inch display rocking the One UI based on the Android Pie OS. Further, in the imaging department, expect a dual or triple rear camera setup alongside a TOF 3D sensor for depth sensing.
