Sony WF-XB700 with up to 18 hours battery life and IPX4 rating launched in India at Rs 9,990

Today, Sony has launched its first TWS earbuds in India at a price of Rs 9,990. Its all-new TWS is called Sony WF-XB700. Targeted to the bass sound lover, these new TWS earbuds come with EXTRA BASS features. Ideal for EDM and hip hop music lovers, the new Sony truly wireless earbuds could be your daily companion for all your media consumption needs. It will be available for purchase starting today. 

Sony WF-XB700 – Specifications 

Equipped with a 12mm driver unit, each earbud offers punchier BASS and is easy to operate as well. Sony also teases the portability of its new TWS. With an extra sound tuning, these 12mm drivers offer punchy low—end sound. Expect a strong, rich, and expansive sound output on these new Sony earbuds. 

As far as the usability is concerned, it has a multi-function button, which allows you to play, pause, stop skips tracks, and adjust the volume levels. Offering a stable Bluetooth connection, the antennas are well-optimised for improved reception. Button controls are easy, on the left side, single press for volume up, and press and hold for volume down. On the right side, singe press for play or pause, double press for next track, and triple press for the previous track. 

Speaking about the design, the tri-hold architecture promises a secure fit unlike any other TWS out there. They are designed to make contact with three different points on your ear. Thus offering a secure and comfortable fit. With an IPX4 rating, Sony ensures the durability of these TWS earbuds. 

These earbuds offer up to 9 hours of battery life on their own in a single charge, which is extravagant. While with the charging case support you can get up to a total of 18 hours of battery life. Further, it offers quick charging support. Meaning a 10-minute charge could offer up to 1 hour playback time. The company claims it offers lower latency, which is ensured by optimising antenna structure.
