A mysterious Sony device pops up, allegedly the Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact

Xperia XZ2 Compact might launch soon

Sony is launching quite a few phones at MWC this year. Keeping in line with this, a new prototype has surfaced online, next to the Xperia Z5 Compact. The phone is likely to be the Xperia XZ2 Compact and is speculated to launch at the Mobile World Congress as well. Sony has a record of releasing the Xperia Compact phones in the second half of the year. But this time, the company may surprise us with a Compact phone in this month itself.

However, one must note that this is just a prototype unit and the actual Xperia XZ2 Compact will look quite different from it. The person who has leaked this phone has also said the same. In the prototype, we can see the fingerprint sensor placed on the rear panel and a 3.5mm audio jack is nowhere to be found.

We will get to know the other details once the phone is launched. The company will launch the Xperia XZ Pro at the event. The phone is speculated to sport a 5.7-inch OLED display. It will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of ROM. The phone will also be the first by Sony to have a bezel-less design.

The Xperia XZ Pro will also feature a dual rear camera setup with a combination of 18MP + 12MP sensors and a 13MP selfie shooter. It will come pre-loaded with Android 8.0 Oreo.
