Tecno Camon 12 Air launched in India: specs, price, and availability

Tecno has announced its latest sub Rs 10,000 handset in India. The Tecno Camon 12 Air is priced at Rs 9,999 and is the company’s first dot-in display smartphone. Just like the punch-hole display design seen on the Samsung and Huawei phones, this new Tecno smartphone packs one. Let’s talk about the specifications below. 

Tecno Camon 12 Air Specifications 

Packing a 6.55-inches Dot-in display, it has a resolution of 1600 x 720, it’s a 20;9 aspect ratio display. Offering screen to body ratio of 90.3% and a screen brightness of 500nits. It weighs 172 grams and has a thickness of 8.15 mm. 

Powered by Helio P22 Octa-core processor, it clocks at 20 GHz. It’s running on the custom OS dubbed as HiOS 5.5, which is based on Android 9.0 Pie. The configuration includes 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can be expanded by up to 256GB storage via microSD card slot. 

Speaking about the camera setup, the rear end packs a triple camera setup, which includes 16MP + 2MP + 5MP. It has a support of Quad Flash. It has an f/1.8 aperture, there is a 120-degree wide-angle. There are various different mode including bokeh mode, AI HDR, AI Beauty, Panorama, macro mode, and Google lens.  

The connectivity options include 3 slots (2 SIM + 1 SD card slot), dual SIM mode, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, GLONASS, A-GPS, and 4G LTE. The colours available Bay Blue and Stellar Purple. All this is powered by a 4000mAh capacity battery. As far as the biometric security is concerned, it has a Face Unlock and rear fingerprint sensor.
