Tinder’s Passport feature to be availble for free till April 30th amidst Coronavirus concerns

Tinder

Tinder, one of the biggest location-based dating services announced today that its Passport feature will be available for free to its users starting next week, through April. For the uninitiated, the Passport feature is a paid add-on for Gold and Plus Tinder subscribers, allowing them to connect to users in other countries too. The move comes as an aftermath of the devastating Corona Virus, which has propagated social distancing in numerous countries.

”In these trying times, while we all know we need to stay home, this doesn’t mean we have to be alone with our thoughts. Having someone to talk to can make a world of difference. And that’s why we decided that starting next week we’ll make our Passport feature, free to everyone, everywhere through April 30th. Our hope is that you use the Passport feature to virtually transport yourself out of self-quarantine to anywhere in the world. You can check in on folks in their hometown, college town, or sister city, and find those across the world who are going through the same things. If nothing else, you can learn how to say “hey” in another language,” the company said in a statement.

If you are not active on Tinder or not looking to be active even now. Then we respect your choices and urge you to read one of our articles regarding applications on how you can tackle the social distancing amid the Coronavirus outbreak. Or you can watch the video if feel comfortable doing that.
