When launched, the 10.or G was running on Android 7.1 Nougat but it has received the Android 8.0 Oreo since.

Xiaomi Redmi 4

By now, most of us know that Xiaomi makes some great value-for-money smartphones without compromising on quality. When it comes to buying a phone in the range of Rs 10,000, the Xiaomi’s Redmi 4 has been the top choice in 2017 for many folks. Unlike other smartphones by Xiaomi which only have two variants, the Redmi 4 has three variants available.

It comes in 2GB/3GB/4GB of RAM variants, with 16GB/32GB/64GB of internal storage each respectively. If you compare the Redmi 4 with other smartphones it stands out both in price and specifications. If you are a selfie lover or prefer doing video calls often then the 5MP front camera is pretty decent and offers a good picture quality.

The Redmi 4 has a great battery of 4,100mAh which can keep the juice of the battery on for one whole day and sometimes even more.

Infocus Vision 3

The Infocus Vision 3  is one of the very few smartphones in this price range that provides an almost bezel-less display, with a pixel density of 282ppi. Folks who love clicking pictures are bound to like its 13MP+5MP dual rear camera setup. And for the selfie lovers, there’s the 8MP front camera, which is pretty decent too.  The camera software emulates Nokia’s bothie mode with a similar mode called DualFie, in case that interests you.

You only get a single variant of the phone with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. The smartphone has decent speakers at the bottom of the Infocus Vision 3 and this is probably the best designed smartphone south of Rs 10,000. At Rs 6,999, the phone is a superb deal.

Oppo A37

The Oppo A37 is in this list primarily for selfie lovers. You can choose between the Gold and Rose Gold variants, and the phone is available in 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. It also has the option of expanding the memory by up to 256GB. However, the USP of the phone has to be its 5MP selfie camera with an f/1.4 aperture for more light. In fact, in low light you can use the screen flash to illuminate your face.

The only downside is that the device runs on MediaTek MT6750 processor and has a non-removable battery of 2,630mAh paltry size. However, the Oppo A37 is a perfectly affordable phone for those who intend on keeping it simple.

Micromax Canvas Infinity

The Micromax Canvas Infinity is another phone with an 18:9 aspect ratio display, that definitely makes gaming and content consumption more fun. It was launched in August 2017 and came with Android 7.1 Nougat operating system, but after a few months the Android 8.0 Oreo was rolled out eventually.

The added advantage for selfie lovers is the 16MP front camera, which is a very attractive addition at such a price. The design of the Micromax Canvas Infinity is its prime feature, its almost bezel-less look is quite the eye-catcher.
