OPPO’s Find X is a still a mysterious device when we talk about physical design. This is surprising because we’re talking about an OPPO flagship that is slated to launch within two weeks. Well, the official announcement itself caught us off-guard so this is understandable. However, now we know something of its internals, and no this isn’t a dodgy leak. Its straight from TENAA, China’s certification authority.
So, two models have been spotted yesterday. Those are the PAFM00 and PAFT00 or the Find N and Find S as we saw from trademarks earlier. These could be high-end and low-end variants like the Oppo Find 7 and Find 7A. That aside, the Find X will feature AMOLED tech which also leads us to say that it is highly likely to flaunt a rare curved display like the Galaxy flagships. Reports are now rife that Samsung has been supplying AMOLED and not just any AMOLED but curved displays to OPPO. The AMOLED display is 6.4-inch in size.
OPPO Find X specifications
There’s a 2.8 GHz octa-core processor aided by 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. It will most likely ship with Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. The battery is expected to be 3,645mAh capacity. This TENAA leak doesn’t do much to confirm those rumored features like the 5x lossless optical zoom, or 3D facial recognition, but then it isn’t meant to. However, the 3C certification of the same two models revealed that we won’t be getting Super VOOC. That is a letdown, but VOOC is already very fast.
Today, Find X renders have also leaked showing a notch that is probably the smallest we’ve seen to date. Also, getting AMOLED displays from Samsung would allow Oppo to theoretically bend the displays at the bottom allowing for a truly bezel-less bottom. This is hinted in the rare leak of a render. If this is truly the Oppo Find X, then I am really looking forward to seeing it. Stay tuned as the handset launches on June 19.
