Vivo has gone all out with its Vivo Apex 2020 edition concept smartphone. After canceling its MWC appearance due to coronavirus threats, the company has unveiled its new concept phone in a press release. Let’s talk about this concept below.

Vivo Apex 2020 – What could be in store for us?

Vivo’s all-new concept phone will be offering a 6.5-inch FullView edgeless display with 120 degree curved edges. It wraps around the display unlike we have seen before, according to the company. The 2020 edition doesn’t have a notch, the company has tried to hide the selfie camera under the display.

The brand has tried to push the limits of camera prowess with the introduction of the gimbal-like camera structure. On top of that, it has also introduced a continuous optical zoom ranging between 5x-7.5x.

This quote from Harry Hong, General Manager of Product, vivo delivers the message that Vivo is not after introducing concept phones but they are looking to embark on new endeavors with its Apex phones. said, “APEX is never a mere ‘concept’ or a glimpse of ‘imagination’. It’s a creation that goes beyond any previous experience brought by mobile technology.

Following last year’s innovation, there are no physical buttons on this one either, they’re replaced by pressure-sensitive buttons. Speaking more about the in-display camera, it will be a non-mechanical selfie camera. This 16MP resolution lens features a 4-in-1 super pixel photosensitive chip.

What is a Gimbal Camera? By this, the brand means it offers gimbal-like stabilisation as there is a gimbal-like structure been used in the rear camera setup. The stabilization angle has been adjusted by 200%. The night photography capacity is increased, all thanks to the stable handled shooting, which effectively expands the exposure time.
