Dongguan based Chinese smartphone company has launched yet another of their smartphones. The new Vivo X20 and X20 Plus are one of a kind phones compared to what Vivo’s past launches.
After recently launching V7+ which sported a display with an aspect ratio of 18:9, the Vivo X20 and Vivo X20 Plus have also followed this year’s trend. Talking about the display, this is the first phone from Vivo that has introduced Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels.
It will come as a shock to their huge fanbase of Selfie users since they have featured a dual-camera setup on the back than in the front of the phone.
The dual camera at the back is a setup of a 12 MP f/1.8 camera combined with a 5 MP camera, and the front camera is a 12 MP f/2.0. The phones are powered by a Snapdragon 660 processor and come with a 4 GB RAM and a 64 GB storage space. The storage can be extended up to a 256 GB with micro SD cards. This is a dual sim phone with a hybrid slot where you can choose to use either the SIM 2 or an extendable storage space. The phone uses rear mounted finger print sensor for authentication purposes. Both the phone runs on Android Nougat and are available in Matte Black, Gold and Rose Gold colours.
The phones are not much different in terms of the spec sheet. The obvious differences between the phones is the screen size and the battery. While Vivo X20 has a 6.01-inch with a 79.5% screen-to-body ratio, the Vivo X20 Plus has a 6.43-inches with a 80.6% screen-to-body ratio. Because of the difference in the size, Vivo X20 is powered by a 3,250 mAh battery and the Vivo X20 Plus is powered by a 3,900 mAh battery. The Vivo X20 is priced at CNY 2,998 (INR 29,500) while the X20 Plus comes at a price tag of CNY 3,498 (INR 34,500).
The pre-ordering of phones starts on September 25, while the phone will be available for purchase starting September 30. Let us know in the comments below if you would be intersting in buying this phone if it comes to your country.
