Starting with the basics, it comes equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor with a support of 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The screen is at 6.59-inch, it would be a Super AMOLED panel with 19.3:9 aspect ratio and full HD+ resolution. The battery capacity on this one is at 4000mAh capacity. And it is unbelievably thin at 6.59mm. The camera department includes a 12MP + 5MP dual rear cameras set up, where the 12MP lens is a Sony sensor. It packs a f/1.8 aperture, 1.4-micron pixel size, OIS, and 4K video support.
What are the unique Vivo NEX specifications?
Apart from the pop-out selfie camera, it has a lot more uniqueness to it. Starting with the introduction of a dedicated AI button, which will launch Jovi, the personal assistant. Vivo claims that its new AI-enabled assistant can understand complex and chained voice commands. With a wide application support, its integration is deep.
Vivo is ditching the Funtouch OS on this one and has introduced an all-new Energy UI. It comes with new themes, icons and a whole lot of new features based on Android 8.0 Oreo operating system. The company claims to introduce the third-generation in-screen fingerprint sensor on its latest smartphone. It should offer improved response time.
There is an introduction of Vivo gaming engine in partnership with Tencent Games. It would be one of a kind of partnership, which claims to offer a unique gaming experience. Adding to the gaming experience is the introduction of 7.1 channel 3D audio, which is in collaboration with dtsX.
The Chinese smartphone has launched its NEX line up in three variants, where two variants are powered by SD 845 with different internal storage. And the third model comes with Snapdragon 710. Vivo is not using the monikers NEX S and NEX A as they were rumoured before the launch event. Instead, the company is sticking with just the NEX.
Price of Vivo NEX starts at 3898 Yuan (approx. Rs 40,999) just as expected before launch event. And it goes up to 4998 Yuan (approx. Rs 52,499) for the highest variant.
