Looks like Vivo is not at all trying to hide its upcoming NEX line-up (NEX S and NEX) from the public as it has been constantly appearing on videos and pictures. The company has scheduled an event tomorrow in China to officially unveil the device. And ahead of this event, the price and hands-on video of the Vivo NEX has appeared online on Weibo, a microblogging website.
The smartphone that was initially believed to come with a name – APEX, would be the first true bezel-less smartphone. All thanks to the pop-out selfie camera, which doesn’t take space on top or bottom bezel. Keeping in mind that many people won’t really like this pop-up selfie feature because it won’t be quite convenient. It is one of the reasons the company will be releasing two variants of its NEX phone.
Vivo NEX S Vs NEX: What’s the difference?
The primary model is supposed to sport a pop-out camera and will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. Plus, the fingerprint sensor would be housed inside the display, just like the Vivo X21, which was launched in India last month. The leaked hands-on video showcases the premium handset with a NEX and Vivo branding on the rear. And of course fingerprint sensor on the back. The secondary model will sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor, which saw its debut on Xiaomi Mi 8 SE.
As far as the Vivo NEX price is confirmed, the premium sibling might retail at 4498 Yuan, which roughly converts to Rs 47,300. Whereas the other model will supposedly fetch at 3798 Yuan, converting to roughly Rs 40,000. The costlier variant is supposed to come with an 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
