Vivo V11 Pro with in-display fingerprint reader launched to take on the OPPO F9 Pro and Poco F1

Vivo has something interesting to show you today, it is the company’s next V series handset dubbed as V11 Pro (V11 in international markets) in India. The new V11 Pro comes with flagship level specifications and features you’d like to enjoy on a premium phone. It will be retailing in India for Rs 25,990 starting September 12. In case you’re looking to purchase a premium handset with a price tag below Rs 30,000, then, this could be an alternative to the POCO F1 you have been looking for.

Vivo V11 Pro Specs and Features

Flaunting its flawless design, the new V11 Pro will be available for sale in two fancy colour options; Starry Night Black and Dazzling Gold. The brand has experimented with gradients and pattern finishes, which has resulted in these two colour options. Sporting a water drop notch display, its notch isn’t distracting at all. Further, the chin on bottom is quite thin. Talking about the display size, it is a 6.41-inch 19.5:9 aspect ratio screen. Surprisingly, it is a Super AMOLED panel, which is quite an upgrade considering the V9 came with an LCD panel.

Vivo has been kind enough to provide a decently powerful Snapdragon 660 processor on its latest V11 Pro. It is paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, which can be expanded via microSD card slot. As far as the camera department is concerned, it offers a dual-rear camera setup. The primary lens is of 12MP f/1.8 aperture and secondary lens is of a 5MP f/2.4 aperture. The selfie camera is of 25MP resolution and sports a f/2.0 aperture. Both of these cameras are aided by a lot of AI and AR features, which makes it a fun exercise.

What’s the USP of V11 Pro?

After its beautiful design and AI-powered cameras, it’s under the display fingerprint sensor is the highlight feature of the phone. This is the first time that Vivo has brought its innovative in-display fingerprint sensor to this price segment. It was originally treated as a premium feature for high-end phones. But Vivo seems to break that trend with its latest V11 Pro.

As far as the battery capacity is concerned, it will be coming with a 3400 mAh capacity battery. It isn’t quite big for a display of its caliber, but with VOOC flash charge of 5V/4A involved, it overall offers a decent battery package. Where Vivo adds everything to spice up its handset, it lacks in providing a USB Type-C port in terms of connectivity.
