Vivo has launched the insane looking Vivo V9 smartphone in India today. The phone has become the talk of the town with its notch design, impressive display and a massive selfie snapper. The device comes for a price of Rs 22,990 and will be available for pre-order from March 23. The phone comes in three colour variants: Pearl Black, Champagne Gold and Sapphire Blue.

The phone comes as a boon to people who loved iPhone X‘s design but couldn’t buy it due to the pricing. Vivo has given an affordable option to people and the phone is expected to receive a decent response in the country. Let’s look at all the specs and features of the Vivo V9 smartphone.

Vivo V9: specs and features

The Vivo V9 is a decent mid-range phone by the Chinese company. The device boasts of a 6.3-inch HD+ display with the resolution of 1080 x 2280p. The aspect ratio of the phone is 19:9 and you can scarcely find any bezels on the sides. It carries a metal design with a glass coating on the back. As we have mentioned earlier, the phone looks eerily similar to the iPhone X and carries the similar looking vertical dual camera setup on the back.

Coming to performance, the respectable Snapdragon 626 processor holds the command of the phone in association with Adreno 506 GPU. There is 4GB of RAM and 64GB of ROM and the latter can be expanded via a microSD card. The biggest feature of the Vivo V9 is its camera department. With a 24MP selfie shooter that has an aperture of f/2.0, the phone boasts of a 16MP + 5MP camera on the rear. The selfie camera is endowed with smart features like portrait mode, bokeh mode, AI beautification etc while the main camera comes with an LED Flash.

The only distinguishing feature of the phone, apart from the Vivo branding, is the fingerprint sensor on the back. The reader resides comfortably beneath the camera setup and the phone has a somewhat smaller 3260mAh battery. It runs Android 8.1 Oreo with FunTouch OS 4.0 on top.

On the connectivity front, the Vivo V9 has a support for Hybrid dual SIM slot, 4G VoLTE, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a Micro USB 2.0.
