Vivo Y31 with Snapdragon 662 SoC and 5000mAh battery launched in India at Rs 16,490

Vivo has yet another smartphone launch in the country — the Vivo Y31. This device adds up to the current Y series portfolio, which falls in the lower mid-range segment. The device comes with triple rear cameras, a more prominent display and a bigger battery with fast charge support. The Y31 comes in a single storage variant 6GB+128GB) and features two colour variants comprising Ocean Blue and Racing Black.

Vivo Y31 — Specs

Display

The Y31 features a 6.58-inches IPS LCD display. It’s a Halo FullView display that comes in 1080 Full HD+ resolution and a dewdrop to host the selfie shooter. It further supports P3 colour gamut for a better viewing experience. The display is enclosed in a glossy surface on the rear with gradient colouring effects. The device equips a new side-mounted fingerprint sensor, for authentication, which further acts as a power button.

Hardware

Under the hood, the Vivo Y31 packs in a Snapdragon 662 SoC, the octa-core processor with clock speeds up to 2GHz and Adreno 610 GPU, for graphics. The device further equips with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage, as aforementioned. It ships with Android 10-based Funtouch OS 11 out of the box.

Cameras

In terms of optics, the Vivo Y31 features a triple rear camera setup with a 48MP f/1.79 acting as the primary sensor. It accompanies a 2MP depth and 2MP macro sensor as well. These AI-powered rear cameras support Super Night mode alongside Electronic Image Stabilization. Meanwhile, the front camera comprises a 16MP f/2.0 selfie shooter on top of the display.

The device draws power from a massive 5000mAh battery, which charges through USB Type-C and supports Vivo’s 18W fast charging as well. The other highlights of the device include dual-band Wi-Fi, GPS, OTG, FM, Dual SIM and Bluetooth 5.0.
