Xiaomi and Google joined hands to launch the company’s first Android one smartphone and the phone was launched in September 2017.
After a couple of months, it has now come out with a special Red colour edition which is to be launched in Indonesia. It is going to be exclusively for that market only and we have no confirmation as to when will it come in other markets.
There are no changes in the smartphone, the device has a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (pixel density is 401 pixel per inch). It runs on octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC processor and has 4 GB RAM with 64 GB internal memory. The smartphone has a layer of corning gorilla it is basically to protect the device from minor scratches. The phone has an option of expandable memory storage up to 128 GB, it has a hybrid card slot. The hybrid card slot allows you to use either a microSD card or another SIM card, it is up to you.
The handset features a dual camera setup with 12 MP + 12 MP camera at the rear and a 5 MP front camera with beautification mode. It has Bluetooth, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, GPS/A-GPS, and USB Type C-Port as connectivity options. It runs on Android 7.1 Nougat OS out-of-the-box and may soon get the update for Android 8.0 Oreo.
