There are no more secrets. No more games, for Mi A2 users. Xiaomi has come clean in the last two days revealing two teasers that have all but confirmed what is in store on July 24. The latest teaser that was outed today confirmed the presence and launch of another Mi A2 variant, the Mi A2 lite. Although this has been suspected by us since long, it is only a week prior to launch that the Chinese smartphone maker has confirmed our suspicion.
The company conveyed the delightful news on Twitter today through a teaser and asked a question to its fans, “We are giving you ALL not 1 but 2 smartphones on July 24th! Any guesses?”. Now that is as clear as it can get. If you’re thirsting for more, the Mi A2 Lite made an appearance on the popular Chinese e-commerce platform, AliExpress.
The listing that was spotted last night on the Chinese e-tailer reiterated what was previously known about the Mi A2 lite. The handset is an Android One phone in the mould of the Redmi 6 Pro.
It has a 5.84-inch Full-HD+ display, 19:9 aspect ratio, Snapdragon 625 SoC, and has either 3GB or 4GB of RAM. The Mi A2 Lite will be the first Android One device from Xiaomi to come with a notch. It has dual rear cameras, and a single selfie shooter backed by a 4,000mAh battery. I guess we don’t need to mention what the new device will run out of the box, do we?
The Mi A2 Lite recently also leaked through a Polish e-commerce website along with its bigger sibling, the Mi A2. That was the first time we came to know that it was a Redmi 6 Pro in disguise. The launch takes place on July 24 in Spain.
