Xiaomi’s idea of a #NewPOCO might be an armoured edition with 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage, but the rumour mill has something different for all the enthusiasts out there. It’s the POCO F2. As soon as it was announced that POCO is coming with a new phone, the twitteratti quickly gathered that a POCO F2 is on its way. And it may turn out to be eventually true.
POCO F2: Could be on its way!
According to a leaked Geekbench listing, it is believed that Xiaomi is indeed working on a successor to its popular affordable flagship phone. Meaning, a POCO F2 is could be on its way. The listing gives a score of 2321 for single-core and 7564 for the multi-core. Further, we know that it will be running on the Android 9 Pie based MIUI 10 out of the box.
While you may be quick to judge that a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 should be offered on this one, but unfortunately the company might not be ready to provide that yet. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 seems to be the choice as per the leaked listing. Further, there could be a 6GB of RAM inside this alleged POCO F2.
As you can see there might not be many internal specifications changes coming to the new POCOphone. It is believed that the major changes will happen in terms of the design. The first POCOphone has received quite a number of negative comments regarding the quality of the body.
The most likely area where the POCO could focus on its next phone is in the design aspect. The camera specs are also one point where the brand could be working to introduce better setup.
With POCO F1, Xiaomi seems to have broken the fact that it has not been able to sell its flagship phones. This new branding and overall kickass specs at ultra-affordable price tag have allowed the F1s to sell like a hot cake. Let’s hope with F2, the brand keeps the momentum going.
