Around a week back, images of a purported live Redmi 6 appeared online. This was the first instance of what appeared to be an early prototype of the handset. However, today that handset looks closer to launch as ever with a TENAA approval. Also, do note that this is probably a Redmi 6 Pro (or Plus) because the Redmi 6 already passed TENAA with model number M1804C3DE. We say this because the Redmi 6 seems to be smaller in size than this variant. The debate of identity aside, let’s take a look at the declared internals.
A notchtastic Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro!
The Chinese regulator’s listing comes with a dose of the spec sheet. The Redmi 6 Pro, or rather Redmi 6 Plus will sport a notch unlike the Redmi 6. It will also feature a bigger 5.84-inch Full-HD+ screen with a 19:9 aspect ratio.
As for the processor, it should either be Xiaomi’s favorite Snapdragon 625 SoC seeing that it is clocked at 2 GHz. However, it could be some other MediaTek equivalent as well. Also, the Redmi 6 Pro will likely sport Android 8.1 Oreo wrapped in a brand new MIUI 10. The memory options include the 2GB/3GB/4GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB/64GB of internal storage variants. Battery size seems to be maintained at 4,000mAh as weight is recorded to be 178g. If you’re looking for dimensions, here it is – 149.33 x 71.68 x 8.75 mm.
But of course, the big question is when these two (or probably one) new budget toys will land finally. Well, currently, we’re unaware of that, however, it could take some time since the Redmi 5 isn’t very old. For now, all eyes are on the May 31st launch of the Mi 8.
