Rejoice, Redmi Note 5 Pro users in India, Xiaomi is all set to roll out the MIUI 9.5 update based on Android Oreo. Earlier this year in March, Xiaomi announced that its MIUI 9.5 update will be rolled out to thirty Xiaomi phones worldwide. Looks like Xiaomi is finally delivering on that promise. While it may be late, it has finally come after all.

In a tweet posted on its official MIUI India profile, the company has shared some details regarding this MIUI update. Xiaomi has announced this update would be reaching to users in phases, which will make sure that any bugs experienced in this update are reported before it reaches to all Redmi Note 5 Pro devices. Thus, helping them remove it gradually.

MIUI 9.5: Android Oreo 8.0 or 8.1? 

The company has mentioned that the MIUI 9.5 update will be based on Android Oreo. But the brand hasn’t shared details on whether it would be 8.0 or 8.1 version of the operating system. To learn the version, we might have to wait till June 29 when the update is scheduled to roll out in the 1st phase. There is no change-log available right now, we will keep you updated once it is shared by the brand.  

If you aren’t aware already, earlier this month Xiaomi announced its MIUI 10 update is coming to almost all recent Redmi and Mi devices. While the company hasn’t shared exact dates for the MIUI 10 update, it has mentioned that a Global ROM is coming soon before fall.
