The new Redmi Note 9 Pro Max was launched alongside the Redmi Note 9 Pro. The phone was supposed to go on sale this week after waiting for a long time. But now the company has postponed the first sale due to Coronavirus concerns. Redmi India has officially confirmed the same via a tweet.
Xiaomi postpones Redmi Note 9 Pro Max sale
The tweet says that “Due to the recent lockdown situation, we’re postponing the first sale date of Redmi Note 9 Pro Max.” However, the company has confirmed that the Redmi Note 9 Pro will go on sale today at 12 PM on Flipkart and Amazon India. The revised sale date will be announced soon.
The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max features a 64MP Quad Rear Camera setup. The phone runs on the same Snapdragon 720G processor just like the Redmi Note 9 Pro. Another difference that you get to see is in terms of the selfie camera and charging speed. The phone comes with a 32MP Selfie Camera and a 33W charger in the box. The battery capacity remains the same as the Note 9 Pro. The Note 9 Pro Max was launched at a starting price of Rs.14,999.
Relating to Coronavirus concerns, some smartphone players like Samsung, OPPO, and vivo have shut down their factories due to lockdown in the district.
