Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro Max first sale postponed due to Coronavirus concerns

The new Redmi Note 9 Pro Max was launched alongside the Redmi Note 9 Pro. The phone was supposed to go on sale this week after waiting for a long time. But now the company has postponed the first sale due to Coronavirus concerns. Redmi India has officially confirmed the same via a tweet.

Xiaomi postpones Redmi Note 9 Pro Max sale 

The tweet says that “Due to the recent lockdown situation, we’re postponing the first sale date of Redmi Note 9 Pro Max.” However, the company has confirmed that the Redmi Note 9 Pro will go on sale today at 12 PM on Flipkart and Amazon India. The revised sale date will be announced soon.

The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max features a 64MP Quad Rear Camera setup. The phone runs on the same Snapdragon 720G processor just like the Redmi Note 9 Pro. Another difference that you get to see is in terms of the selfie camera and charging speed. The phone comes with a 32MP Selfie Camera and a 33W charger in the box. The battery capacity remains the same as the Note 9 Pro. The Note 9 Pro Max was launched at a starting price of Rs.14,999. 

Relating to Coronavirus concerns, some smartphone players like Samsung, OPPO, and vivo have shut down their factories due to lockdown in the district. While on the other hand, Xiaomi hasn’t issued any such statement regarding their factories in India across Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Noida.
