Xiaomi Redmi S2: Specifications
Xiaomi opened the event talking about camera importance in a smartphone. The company said that the Redmi S2 is the best budget handset they have for selfie-shooting. Speaking of which, it is a 16MP lens with 2μm pixel size. It also comes with Auto HDR, AI portrait mode, and AI beauty features. It does have face unlock and Xiao AI assistant out of the box as well.
The rear cameras are a combo of 12MP + 5MP sensors. The primary lens has 1.25μm pixel size while the second sensor is for depth-sensing. Again, it also has AI support and smart beauty features.
As for the other components, the Redmi S2 uses a 5.99-inch HD+ 18:9 aspect ratio display underneath which is a Snapdragon 625 chipset. The Android 8.1 Oreo-powered handset is backed by a 3080mAh battery with no fast charge support.
The looks of the handset don’t need much of a mention as they are more or less close to the Mi 6X.
