Xiaomi is releasing the high selling Redmi 4 phone’s successor on December 7 and we have already talked about it in detail. While the phones are about to release in China, we can’t be sure about their arrival in India yet! The Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus will be carrying the legacy of Redmi Note 4 forward and we are hoping for them to be as awesome, if not more. Xiaomi has teased these two upcoming phones in a new short video.
Also, the phones look really good as one is Black and the other is White in color but if you’re expecting the video to show any key features, then you’re bound to be a little disappointed because Xiaomi has not yet revealed anything officially on that front.
However, we do know a few things, thanks to TENAA listing. The Redmi 5 will have a 5.7″ screen with a resolution of 720 x 1440 pixels and will be powered by a Snapdragon 450 processor. The phone will also have three variants with a combination of 2 GB RAM+16 GB ROM, 3 GB RAM+32 GB ROM and 4 GB RAM+64 GB ROM. The device is likely to boast of a 3,200mAh battery as well. It will run Android 7.1 Nougat with MIUI 9 on top. Redmi 5 will have a 12MP rear and 5MP front camera sensor for satisfactory snaps!
The phone is likely to be priced at 699 Yuan (approximately $106).
Coming to the Redmi 5 Plus, this phone will have a 5.99″ display with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. It will be powered by a Snapdragon 625 processor and will have two variants as well. The combination will be 3 GB RAM+32 GB ROM on the first variant and 4 GB+64GB on the second. This phone will also have a camera setup of 12MP rear+5MP front snapper.
Redmi 5 Plus will run Android 7.1 Nougat with MIUI 9 on top and will cost you 999 Yuan (approximately $151).
