These Mi 2i power banks are all “Made in India” and Xiaomi has established its third manufacturing facility in Noida, UP. It already has two manufacturing plants (smartphone) in Andhra Pradesh and Sri City.

This includes 10000 mAh and 20000 mAh power banks which come at affordable prices of Rs.799 and Rs. 1,499 respectively. These models will be on sale at Mi home stores and Mi.com and the sale will begin from November 23.
Both the Mi power banks (10000 mAh & 20000 mAh) have dual USB ports, lithium polymer batteries, and smart control chips powered by Texas Instruments. Texas Instrument is an American design and manufacturing company. The 10000 mAh power bank has endorsed to have an 85% conversion rate, with an anodised aluminium design with a thickness of 14.2mm. On the contrary, the 20000 mAh power bank has a quick charge 3.0 technology which will give a fast charging experience to its users. This one comes in a polycarbonate case.
Manu Kumar Jain ( Head of Xiaomi, India ) addressed the media while he paid a visit to the new facility in Noida. He brought our attention to some key factors like the Mi Power bank 2 and the Mi Power bank 2i are quite similar. But the Mi Power bank 2i goes through nine different levels of uncompromised quality tests. They include three levels of process inspection at every stage. Mr. Jain also said that these Mi Power bank 2i range is four times higher than Lenovo. Even though Lenovo comes third in the ranking of leading power banks in India.
Many replicas of the Xiaomi Mi power bank have already started surfacing the Indian market. To fix this situation Xiaomi has used a hologram and a security code, that will help the customers to identify the original model among the fake ones.
The Noida facility is spread up to a 2.3 lakh square feet and it produces seven power banks per minute. That is an amazing production capacity. This number of power banks per minute is actually higher than the ones being produced in China.
