Asus has announced the arrival of Android Pie update to the ZenFone Max Pro (M1). The device became a huge hit in the budget section and has sold more than 1 million units in India till now. The phone has also received a price cut for the Flipkart Big Billion days. The 3GB RAM + 32GB ROM variant will sell for Rs 9,999, the 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM variant will go for Rs 10,999 and the biggest 6GB RAM variant will now cost just Rs 12,999. Isn’t that crazy?
Along with the Android Pie update, the phone will also get EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization) feature. Asus India’s Director for Mobile Business also confirmed the arrival of the feature in the upcoming update. He also mentioned that the company has almost finished testing Android Pie on ZenFone Max Pro (M1) and ZenFone 5Z. So, we can expect the update to roll out soon. Asus has been rolling out various security patches and other improvements to the UI of ZenFone Max Pro (M1). Now, a big software update could enhance the experience even more.
Earlier, there were reports which suggested the presence of a hidden EIS feature on the ZenFone Max Pro (M1). It could be accessed through Snapdragon camera application which allows the user to change some crucial deeper settings. You can also start the EIS feature by clicking on the hamburger present on the right of the camera app. In “Settings”, you need to find the redeye reduction option and tap on it multiple times. Now, the camera app of your phone has enabled some extra settings for you. Open your camera app again, select “video” and select the resolution as 1080p. Here, you’ll see the EIS feature option and you can switch it on. But you need to remember that this feature is not accessible to all the ZenFone Max Pro (M1) users.
