Xiaomi has released it's new 'note' device, the redmi note 4. It's a great budget phone with quite appealing features. It's predecessor, the note 3, also had quite a good run. The note 4 is mostly same as the note 3 in terms of everyday performance, which is to say great! For this price you're getting either a mediatek X20 or a Snapdragon 625 processor. Both are awesome pieces of silicon and can satisfy all your expectations. Xiaomi says the new Snapdragon 625 CPU is 25\% more efficient than the note 3. So you should be able to get better battery life than the already pretty good Redmi note 3.
Speaking of which, this guy has 4050 mAh battery unit. A slight downgrade from the 4100 mAh on the old guy. But still, it lasts just as long, if not longer.
The display remains the same here, at 1080p resolution but has a 2.5D curved glass on top. A it looks pretty much the same as on the note 3, it gives the entire phone a more premium feel in the hand. The brightness output is also quite good, so you won't feel any issues with legibility outdoors, under sunlight.
The camera, as usual has let me down a bit. Though it's very nice, it's not 'nice enough', if you o ow what I mean. The optics are pretty good, but leave a bit to be desired. Like better dynamic range and improved low light performance. The cameras aren't the best on the note 4 and are only good for a few casual snaps here and there.
I'm not a big fan of the software though! MIUI isn't my cup of tea and I'm sure I'm not the only one. So if you're getting this one, which is a good choice, I highly recommend you slap a launcher on top of that ugly interface.
To conclude, it's a great phone. Though there are a few things to be concerned, it's not a deal breaker by any means. And that super budget friendly price makes it all the more worthwhile.
